Maison du Geste et de l'Image

The « Maison du geste et de l’image » (Mgi) offers to make its different spaces available for film shootings and/or audiovisual productions. Its expertise in welcoming professional artists, especially in the field of visual arts, allows producers and managers to interact very easily with the technical team of the Mgi. Besides, being located in the center of Paris is a real asset for the association. It is very well served by all means of transport in the city and has a direct view of the “Fontaine des innocents” alongside the “Canopée”. Finally, a garage also allows to park a standard vehicle or store equipment easily accessible. The Mgi owns a space of 1800m2 entirely dedicated to artistic practice.: theatre studio, multipurpose rooms, photo laboratory, video editing rooms, sound recording booth and multimedia areas. Moreover, to enable the young participants to carry out their projects and ideas, the Mgi provides them with photographic and video equipment. The « Maison du geste et de l’image » (Mgi) is a non-profit association (law 1901), founded in 1983 and supported by the city of Paris. It has the particularity of being 100% dedicated to the artistic expression of young people, mainly during the school hours (in close partnership with teachers), but also outside school hours (Saturdays and holidays). Its team, composed of 10 people, builds, coordinates and welcomes throughout the year around 200 artistic projects (ranging from 3 hours workshops to 70 hours courses).: theatre, video and photo, all with professional artists who accompany groups during the entire collective artistic creation. The « Maison du geste et de l’image » welcomes around 4,800 young people a year, from preschool to final year of high-school (children and teenagers from 3 to 18 years old).
