Through its partner events, Film Paris Region promotes the resources of the Paris region to foreign professionals. Shoot the Book! is a program that showcases Parisian authors and their inspiring stories, the Cinefondation residency encourages young foreign directors and scriptwriters to shoot their next projects in the Paris region, while The Paris Images Digital Summit presents the latest innovations in digital visual effects. Finally, we participate in several co-production meetings around the word.

Shoot the Book!

Every year since 2014, Shoot the Book! has selected books with strong screen adaptation potential. The selected publishers are accredited at the Cannes Film Festival to meet foreign producers via pitch sessions and individual meetings.
This concept is repeated at other professional events such as the Shanghai International Film Festival in June and the American Film Market in November in Los Angeles.

The Cinefondation residency

Created in 1998 by the Cannes Film Festival, the Cinefondation supports worldwide film creation and trains the next generation of filmmakers. In 2000, it inaugurated the Résidence du Festival in Paris, which hosts two sessions of six young directors each year, working on their first or second feature film project. Since 2008, the Film Paris Region has promoted the diversity of Parisian locations to some 200 Cinefondation resident artists.

Paris Images Digital Summit

In 2015, Film Paris Region, in partnership with the Enghien-les-Bains Arts Center, founded the Paris Images Digital Summit, an event entirely dedicated to digital creation.

Each year, around 3,000 people come to the PIDS to discover the latest trends in digital visual effects.

Several VFX supervisors and award-winning directors have participated in past editions of the PIDS, including Phil Tippett (Twillight), Denis Murren (Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, etc.), Joe Letteri (Lord of the Rings, Avatar, etc.), Chris Edwards (Mission Impossible, Game of Thrones, etc.) and more.

Film London

In 2010, Film Paris Region and Film London joined forces to promote their respective regions to international producers. Within this framework, 45 producers from the Paris Region are selected each year to participate in the Production Finance Market in London, a major event dedicated to the financing of European projects.

L'Institut Français

Since 2019, Film Paris Region has partnered with a number of French institutes to help bring together foreign producers and professionals from the Paris region. Film Paris Region maintains privileged relationships with the countries that are most involved in global film production: United States, Argentina, Korea, Indonesia and Singapore.

Viva Mexico

Film Paris Region is a partner of the Viva Mexico festival, dedicated to preserving cultural cooperation between France and Mexico. Organized every year in October, the Mexican co-production meetings allow Mexican directors to present their projects to producers from the Paris Region.
