Under the direction of Film Paris Region, for the last two years Project Green Screen has been carrying out a mission to identify new technologies that will allow the film industry to reduce its carbon footprint.

With financing from the EU’s Interreg program, project Green Screen is now established in eight different countries.
Benoit Ruiz, an innovation and environment consulting analyst with Workflowers, won the bid to catalog the different innovative technologies.
All in all, 350 solutions were identified as pertinent with consideration of their material effectiveness to reduce carbon footprint and their specific adaptability within the film and TV industries.
In consultation with Film Paris Region, 28 solutions were shortlisted as a response to the 12 major issues associated with the Audiovisual and film industry, from air purification to waste and energy management, logistics, lighting, pipelines and workflow software. All the companies received European recognition labels for their technological contributions.

Files on these companies can be found in the innovation catalog, which will be showcased by Film Paris Region and project Green Screen’s other partners through conferences and other events, as well as networking between industry professionals and the companies offering these technologies.
Film Paris Region has simultaneously continued to promote the Ecoprod association’s mission by helping Paris Region companies follow its charter to develop environmental practices.
